Youth Pastor: Nick Tarter
Paradigm Student Ministries
The FBC Perry Student Ministry exists to move students toward God, toward others, and toward Ministry. We desire to connect students to the God of the universe and help them to live out God's vision for their lives. We believe a youth group should not be a church within a church, but is a part of the church. As a part of FBC Perry, we encourage our students to embrace our church's vision and to serve in the church.. Paradigm is taken from a greek word which means "example". Our ministry is based on I Timothy 4:12 which states, "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." The FBC Perry Student Ministry is committed to connecting students to the MOVEMENT.

Move toward GOD- God is at the center of everything we do. Our goal is to see students live for God on a very deep level. We believe that if a student is going to move toward God they have to commit to read the Bible, worship God (both with other Christians and personally), and develop a consistent prayer life.
Move toward OTHERS- No person is an island unto him/herself and God made us to be relational people. If students are going to become the people God made them to be, they need other people. We want to connect students to other Christians so they will have friends to help them along as they walk with God. We want to connect students to our church because we are called to be an active part of God's church. Lastly, we want to see students connect to other students who do not yet believe in Jesus. We know that our students have the best opportunity to share Jesus with the unbelieving worlds of Jr High and High School around them.
Move Toward MINISTRY- Every Christian is called to serve as Jesus did. Our goal is to connect students to service in our church, through our church, and on behalf of God and our church. Ministry/Mission should be a part of the everyday Christian life. We know our students will not be complete followers of Jesus until they learn to live their life in service to Him. We encourage our students to pray for, look for, and follow through with opportunities to serve every day.
